Software Advice recently came out with its 2014 Nonprofit Software Buyerview revealing the most recent buyer trends in nonprofit software. What can we all learn from the results? Smaller nonprofits are all struggling with the same challenges when choosing a donor management system.
Let’s look at some of the numbers:
- Almost 70% of the 2,313 nonprofit buyers in the survey had a total budget of under $1M.
- Of the organizations that had a stated preference, 96% wanted a cloud-based system.
- Most buyers (51%) were looking to increase efficiency with their software process and nearly half (49%) were looking to replace a manual process with, we presume, is their first ever donor management system purchase.
At Kindful, we are excited when we see these numbers because we know that our cloud-based donor management system increases efficiency through automation. Not only that, we go one step further by giving customers integrated fundraising tools that all tie back to the same database.
Do you need to handle recurring gifts or child sponsorships? Kindful can help with that. Are you looking to build an online store to support your mission? Kindful can integrate with online shopping carts and tie all purchases back to specific donor records. Is team fundraising or event registration important to you? Great, its important to us too! When your supporters raise money for your next golf tournament or buy a table to your annual dinner with Kindful, all transactions and interactions are aggregated into one database. We even track click through rates and other email marketing statistics through our partnership with Emma.
Small nonprofits have been overlooked by the large software companies for too long. We think this great survey provided by Software Advice shows this to be true. If you are a small nonprofit looking for a great cloud based software to help improve efficiency, take heart and know that you are not alone. We think we can help!
