At Kindful, our customers are like family. We’re excited about the work they’re doing to make a difference in the world, and we want to shout it from a mountain. Here’s how 20 Liters is choosing to #BeKindful.

Who they are

20 Liters strives to make dirty water clean for the most vulnerable in Rwanda, through long-lasting and innovative solutions. They take their name from the World Health Organization recommendation for each person to have 20 liters of clean water a day for drinking and hygiene. They set out to make clean water a reality – 20 liters at a time – in one of the world’s most underserved areas: Sub-Saharan Africa.

What they do

20 Liters serves the 5 rural districts along the Nyabarongo River that use this waterway as their main water source. While focusing on simplicity and sustainability, they design technologies and utilize trainings that fit the local context.

Theyalso workwith local volunteers. This way, whatever technology they bring to these communities is sustainable and empowers them as a whole.

In their most recent project, 20 Liters reached over 88,000 people in the 5 sectors along the Nyabarongo River in Rwanda with clean water.

How they use Kindful

20 Liters not only uses Kindful as the hub for all their data, but they also use the newly released Donation Plugin.

According to Chip Kragt, Managing Director at 20 Liters, “The Donation Plugin streamlines the giving, receipting, and acknowledgment process, all while letting donors stay on our site. It’s great news for everyone – from our donors to our bookkeepers.”
